Operations Technician at Fortifikationsverket in Solna

Fortifikationsverket is seeking an operations technician for the operations district in Solna, where we work with supervision and maintenance of our properties in the geographical area of Solna. If you want to be part of our growth, we welcome your application!

Fortifikationsverket owns, develops, and manages robust defense properties for peace, crisis, and war. With our unique expertise in defense properties, we create secure environments for a robust total defense.

Your Everyday – Contribute to Sweden's Defense Capability

The operations of Region East are carried out in Stockholm and Gotland County. The region is divided into four property units. This position is located in the Solna operations district. This role primarily involves work and responsibilities in Kista/Solna, but travel within the district is included in the job.

As an operations technician, you will primarily work independently with the operation and maintenance of our property portfolio. This involves participating in supervision and maintenance as well as preventive maintenance of technical installations in facilities and associated infrastructure such as heating, electricity, water and sewage, air treatment systems, control and monitoring systems, and water treatment. There is a strong focus on supervision, executing work orders, and managing potential repairs occurring in properties and outdoor environments. On-call duty is included in the position.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with at least a high school education in property technology or equivalent education that we consider comparable. You have professional experience as an operations technician or property technician or equivalent professional experience. You have knowledge or professional experience in either electricity, control, piping, property operations, ventilation, and cooling systems. You have good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form, as well as good computer skills with administrative competence. A valid driver's license (minimum class B) is required.

It is an advantage if you have knowledge or experience in backup power, water treatment, property systems, plumbing, lock skills, alarms, and aerial lifts. If you have general electrical authorization AB or BB1, it is also an advantage.

About the Employment

The position is a permanent employment and may begin with a probationary period. As a permanent employee, you will be placed in a military position. The place of employment is Solna. Employment with us requires Swedish citizenship and involves placement in a security class. A security review with a background check will be conducted before employment in accordance with Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act.
